How happy one  will get with the thought that ‘a person should never get sick’! One has no need to take that Bitter medicine pills, don’t have to take injections and not even consultant a doctor.

Now come out of this imaginary world and look around you. How do we live in this polluted air? How much polluted air goes into your lungs every moment? What foods do you eat? How much chemicals you consume unknowingly.

How and where do you eat? How many pesticides are sprayed on your leafy vegetables? How much sleep do we get? You may now feel that you are caught in a web of these thoughts and many other unanswered questions! In such a situation, how can you imagine that a person should not get sick? And stay healthy.

But my friend Don’t read this and pretend that the match is over. don’t come to any conclusions. Because, of course, some things are still in our hands. They will keep each of us ‘fit’ for sure -:)

Yoga What we say in English. This is an ancient Indian traditional practice. We can clearly see in Ayurveda and Yoga that a person should not get sick is the key rule. Therefore, not only Indians, but the whole world has accepted Yoga. The importance of yoga seems to be well understood by the people all over the globe and thus there is significant rise in people doing yoga on daily basis.

We can see that now a days many youngsters are preferring yoga. At the same time, we can see the people are practicing yoga on the peaks of the Himalayas, and extend of yoga  to the western world is also increasing.

Yoga’ means ‘to join’. The word ‘yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘yuj’, which means to join, bind.
If yoga is seen according to Panini’s grammar, then the word ‘yoga’ has three meanings – union (yujiryoge), samadhi (yuj samadhau) and restraint (yuj samayane).

 

So practically speaking whole word yoga has very broad spectrum of meaning and things involved under it .

But overall there are various Yoga Asnas (Poses) Which are Mentioned below.

Benefits of yoga 

1.Acidity: If you want to reduce acidity then you should practice Pawanmuktasana, Supta Vajrasana, Halasana, Vajrasana, Pranayama etc.
2.Anger: Nowadays people can often be seen suffering from anger. Padmasana, Makarasana, Shalabhasan, Ustrasana, Pranayama, etc. are beneficial for this.
3.Asthma: Tadasana, Gomukhasana, Suptravajrasana, Ustrasan, Uttanasana, Bhujangasana, Makarasana, Pranayama, etc. are beneficial for asthma.
4.Back pain: In back pain, you should practice Pawanmuktasana, Bhujangasana, Tadasana, Trikonasana, Markatasana.

5.Cough/Cold: Suryanamaskar, Bhujangasana, Tadasana, Throne, Pranayama are very suitable for this.

6.Diabetes: Paschimottanasana, Ardhamatyendrasana, Vakrasana, Mandukasana, Bhujangasana, Halasana, Sarvangasana, to prevent diabetes Mayurasana, Gomukhasana, Kapalbhati Kapalbhati etc. should be practiced.

Rules of yoga 

Here are some rules of yoga one should remember for daily practice.

1.By following some rules before doing yoga, while doing yoga and after it, the benefits of yoga become even more visible.
2.Take some time  after defecation.
3.Yoga should be done on an empty stomach.
4.Yoga should be done in a good ventilated place.
5.One should do yoga by wearing loose, light and comfortable clothes.
6.If there is any problem then yoga should be done according to the expert.
7.One should not eat food immediately after yoga.

 

Precautions to take in yoga Practice

It is important to take some precautions while doing yoga.

1.Parsvatakonasana should not be done in case of severe arthritis, neuritis  and injury to bones and joints.
2.Utkatasana should not be done in case of severe arthritis.
3.Do not do Padmasana when there is pain in the knees.

4.Patients with piles should not do Vajrasana.
5.Those suffering from rheumatic problems of knees or hip should not do Bhadrasana.
6.Gomukhasana should not be done in piles.

7.If there is stiffness in the your spine and pregnant women should not do Ardhamatyendrasana.
8.Avoid doing Paschimottanasana if there is a problem of stomach ulcer.
9.Ustrasana should be done in high blood pressure, heart disease, hernia.

10.Avoid doing Shashankasana in back pain.
11.People with hernia and stomach wounds should never do Bhujangasana.

12.People with hernia, peptic ulcer, colitis, high blood pressure should not do Dhanurasana.
13.Do not do Chakrasana in severe heart problems, high blood pressure, dizziness, swelling in the abdomen, etc.

The journey from the outside to the inside is yoga. It is through the yoga practice that the body and mind become pure, healthy and balanced. This is a continuous and long lasting sadhana (process).

Here are some basic yoga asanas for daily practice

1.Do the Omkara Jap 11 times     

it helps to calm down your mind so that  ur next asnas will be better with peace of mind.

2.Then practice surya namaskar. practice surya namaskar for 12 times slowly and neatly. Generally, in each position, stop for 5 to 10 seconds and apply sunscreen. Don’t rush. Then take a short break and start practicing asanas.

while doing asanas, importance should be given to the right position of the body without giving importance to flexibility and every effort should be made to keep the asana stable. Pay attention to the long breath in the asana.

3.Then do Shavasana :-the whole body should be relaxed and the breathing should be slow and long.

While doing asanas, pranayama and meditation, the position of the body should be kept in proper way.

State of mind

While practicing yoga, one should pay full attention to the body and the breathing and experience ever inspiration and expiration closely. Only then will you get the benefits.

Yoga is also very useful for athletes. Yoga is also a boon for athletes who participate in marathons on a regular basis, or who are related with variety of sports. Asanas should be practiced daily to reduce sports injuries.
